Some of my very first designs of the racing truck.

Some other vehicles. The tractor doesn't drive on the track, it's parked on the side of the road. If you hit it with your truck, the farmer jumps off and rolls on the ground while the tractor gets smashed.

Some other obstacles that result in some funny animations when you hit them. I think my favorite is the fat guy in the pool who flies across the screen!

Okay, first of all, yes I obviously did give up on the whole posting everyday thing. Not 'cause I wasn't drawing enough, but because I've realized that some days I don't produce anything worth posting so it'd kinda be a waste to shove my good work out of the way to replace it with ugliness.

Second, here's somewhat of a character sheet for my newest character. She's a stray, because who wants an albino dog whose teeth stick out? Didn't include a 3/4 view, not for any specific reason. I find them the easiest anyway, so I'd rather focus on the other views.

That's right, someone decided it was a good idea to pay me for my work! And I'm told I earned my money so yes, good times. It's been onion-marked to death because the client is keeping the original all to himself (which makes sense, since he paid for it). Some of you may recognize some of the people/ pets in there, and if you do that makes you even more awesome!

I said I'd start uploading something everyday when I got internet and so help me, I'm gonna try! Haha. So yeah, just got it today and I'm excited. And when I'm excited, I try to draw Iron Man! The sketchy one was my first attempt at anything Iron Man-ish and there's a terrible Tony Stark in the corner to prove it. I also tried actually colouring a drawing with markers. The scanner sort of killed it, but it turned out much better than I ever would have expected.

I've just been practicing drawing in photoshop since I barely ever do that. . The big one is based on a Snow Leopard and the little one on a Bobcat, which means they probably aren't related. I think the big guy is just babysitting for a friend. Yup, good story, haha. I didn't do any shading 'cause I wanted to...not do shading for once. Yay then!

HP Goodness

So I received the entire set of Harry Potter books for Christmas and my obsession is quickly growing. So the top was just some doodles of what I picture Sirius like in dog form. I added a terribly drawn Harry Potter to the one I like best just to show the dog's size.

Underneath, Hagrid and Fang. Fang, I've discovered recently is actually a Great Dane (they're known as Boarhounds in England), so I tried to make him look different than the movie version which is a Neopolitan Mastiff.

I plan on colouring that bottom one sometime.

Decided it was time to upload a few things. The top one's a BG I'm using for an animation I'll finish someday! Middle are some Beaver Chemist designs that won't be used for a mascot I'm working on for someone.

And the bottom one I'm planning on colouring and stuff. When I was little I had an imaginary friend who was a Dalmation named Hunger (Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking either). Anyway, thought it'd be fun to sketch little Sonnie and her imaginary friend, lol. I've gotta work on making the child less terrifying...

This pic was a(n) sketch theme/ attempt at drawing something completely in Flash/ explanation to my friend of why her birthday present would be late. The sketch theme was "Flying Ducks" and my friend enjoyed the pic. All in all, it was a success!

I entered a contest on Deviant Art because I thought it'd be fun (and it was!) Also, I wanted to colour with pencil crayons. This is probably the best thing I've done with them.

This is for the "United we Stand" sketch theme. I decided I was gonna try and do all the themes I haven't done. I'm not sure how long that will last...

So the top one was me thinking of random dogs I knew or grew up around and creating characters of them. I think I actually might do another page like that, it was fun.

The middle page was taken directly out of my sketchbook. Just messing around, sketching my family as cartoon characters.

The third one is for a sketch theme a while back. It was "There's no Vacation when You're Unemployed." This is what I looked like for a month after I moved out of my house and quit my job, and went to stay with a friend of my boyfriend's.

Cats Don't Dance...

unless no one is watching, then your living room apparently turns into a stage and your cat wears a tutu!

Anyway, a friend of mine had this great idea for a bunch of us to start a sketch club to keep us drawing. The first theme was "cat's don't dance" (not the movie, lol) and this is the image that came to my weird little head, haha. I'm looking forward to doing more of these!

p.s- I had a bit of help with the background from my boyfriend after he listened to me complaining about how much I suck at everything and how it looked like my cat was dancing on a shiny lake, haha.

Not long ago, my boyfriend had a kitten visit his place for a couple nights in a row, so we brought her in the house, and I sketched! She was very friendly and probably belonged to somebody. We only saw her those two nights anyway and then she disappeared. Maybe her owners decided to stop being morons and let her in at night...anyway, I wasn't in a very drawing mood most of the time, but I managed to get some kitty gestures done.

So not a lot has been going on in my life other than work at zellers and drawing. But I'll be going to Vancouver next month! Then no more zellers, and hopefully more drawing. Back with a few more drawings. The bat-goat guy is a creation I came across in an old sketchbook of mine. We had to design an animal monster type thing for year one of animation, and I thought maybe I could redesign him a bit, maybe make him look a little better. I would post the original but I don't want anyone to see all the no drawing skills I apparently had a few years ago, haha.

The other is just a sketch dump I guess. Just a few things from my sketchbook that I thought might be worth showing.

So apparently I can't put my demo reel on here, it's too big. Fine then. I didn't wanna put it on here anyway! I do, however, have some horse drawings that I can (hopefully) show you. Before we graduated, our life drawing teacher got a few horses in and we got a chance to do some drawing so I thought I'd post a few of mine.

You may actually be seeing a lot of horses from me for the next little while. I've become quite interested in them and trying to get their anatomy right (it's pretty much impossible hah) Anyway, I put a few drawings together from that day. Enjoy.
